The Echoing and Eclipse is a story of loss and understanding, growth and knowledge, and just how powerful words can be. It is a story of faith and hate, of love and unbreakable bonds of friendship. It is a story of just how far a single person can be pushed before they break.
Just over one thousand years have passed since the Severance, the war that broke the world. Like it was before and will be again, two brothers born to unite day and night will wage war across all the world. One they would name Light, the other Dark. Together they will either save or destroy humanity.
But there are greater threats to the world than just the balance of light and dark. The Last Storm is coming, and it will change the world forever. The Lost will be found again, and what they find will rewrite history. The forces of the Dreamers will gather and feed off the minds of men, while Those Yet to Come will mass and follow the Broken Man.

Jira of Ahanti never felt like she belonged with the rest of her tribe. With the guidance of her Elder she seeks her origins, a past she has never known. Defying the traditions of Windgari she climbs one of the One Hundred Towers of Serenity during a storm and forces the wind to answer. In that defiance, Jira learns of who she is and where she came from, but now she may know too much of what is still to come.
Khollin left his home of Meridian when he was fourteen, leaving behind an abusive father and a distant brother. Almost to death he is found and brought back to health in Vegdahr, the Devoted City. Tutored by Ibraham, the Devotee of Arahn Akiem, Khollin confronts the man inside, but his truths reveal more questions than answers. Split between memories that are not his alone he searches for answers. The answers he finds will either save or destroy all he has ever known.
There are those who have already seen the end of prophecy, but they may be too late to stop what began thousands of years ago. All the world will hold its breath as the days grow colder and the nights longer, as myth and lore tighten their grip around fragile life.

Kori Valley was born in Wisconsin in 1986. Growing up in the deep forests north of Green Bay, he found an abundance of inspiration for creating new and exciting worlds. Every rock told a story and every tree had a name.
He found his calling for writing fantasy after reading Terry Brooks’ The Sword of Shannara in middle school. Meeting Terry personally at a signing only cemented his passion for writing even more. Nearly a decade since he began writing Winds of the World, the first book of the Echoing and Eclipse series, the book was complete.
Kori resides in central Wisconsin with his wife Amy, three horses and two dogs. He is currently working on the next book in the series. When he is not writing he enjoys a relaxing trail ride and traveling with his wife.
